Welcome to Bowman Martial Arts, a Folsom Taekwondo school (dojang) for everyone in the community! For 22 years, we’ve worked tirelessly to build the best environment for families to train in martial arts. Whether your training is centered around fitness, self-defense, or competition, our staff is here to support you. We strive to develop students physically, mentally, and emotionally—especially our younger students. We make sure kids leave our Taekwondo classes with a greater sense of confidence and self-esteem. Our School
Bowman Martial Arts is a home for anyone looking to get started in martial arts. Our extensive experience serving Folsom, high-quality training, premier equipment and facilities, and supportive community provide a one-of-a-kind training atmosphere. We make sure to keep classes engaging and place a strong emphasis on self-improvement. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves to develop a desire to improve. As students improve their skills and push past their limits, they’ll also be learning perseverance, discipline, and respect – building well-rounded martial artists and individuals. Beyond the on-the-mat experience, we also have a great time off it. This includes fun events such as Dojang picnics, movie nights, and Parent Night Out events. We have it all for you and your family at Bowman Martial Arts!
Our History
Bowman Martial Arts has been a home for Taekwondo training in Folsom since opening in 2004. In that time, we have done everything to become the best we can be as a dojang. That commitment continued when Nicole Gomez took ownership in 2024. The 5th-Degree Black Belt and multi-time champion began training as a child and has dedicated her time to making Bowman the best it can be. She has kept up to date on new teaching styles for children’s learning and has returned to competition to see what her students are seeing. In addition to her personal commitment to being the best leader she can be, Nicole has adapted the curriculum to balance training for all students and has brought in upgrades. Those upgrades include new mats, electronic gear, new bags, and an improved parent section. Everything that has been done has been put in place to make your experience the best it can be!
What Sets Us Apart
Throughout the years, we have done everything to make our Dojang the best place to train. With upgrades, a supportive community, and an adaptive mindset, we are always looking to be better. You can check out some of the things we pride ourselves on and what makes us a special place for everyone!
We make sure every student – no matter their rank or skill set – receives personalized care and attention. Here, everyone is treated the same, no matter your martial arts background. Beginners, hobbyists, and competitors can get started knowing we have their back.
There are never so many students that our Taekwondo classes feel watered down. That is largely due to our large coaching staff. There will never be a class where a student can’t receive individualized help with multiple coaches participating in training.
Our facility space has been maximized to help as many students as possible. The extra mat space in our facility allows for multiple martial arts classes to take place at the same time without interruption.
Our kids Taekwondo classes have been built to adapt to the everyday child. We understand that children today may learn differently, and we don’t want to be stuck in old habits. You can sign up your child knowing we will do our best to help them succeed!
We have made significant upgrades to our facility and equipment. This has included new mats, new bags, and electronic gear to optimize training. But that’s not all! We have also repainted and upgraded our parent section for those waiting for their child to finish class.
We have been providing Taekwondo classes in Folsom for 22+ years at Bowman Martial Arts. Throughout that time, we have done everything to help community members become their best selves on and off the mat.
Students have the choice to take home challenge sheets to work on their martial arts training at home. Completing these sheets will include rewards!
